The amended Electronic Communications Act (Official Gazette RS No. 109/2012; hereinafter: ZEKom-1), which entered into force at the beginning of 2013, introduced new regulations regarding the use of cookies and similar technologies for storing information or access to information stored in the user’s computer or mobile device. Cookies are nothing new; the Act merely implemented new regulations regarding how website users are notified and give their consent to their use.
